The COVID Pandemic had a fundamental and far-reaching impact on Union Members, and their clients across all lines of aerospace business.
The Union is committed to supporting its Membership, and industry stakeholders, as the sector rebuilds. This includes a particular focus on both a safe return to flight activity and the longer term ESG implications of a sustainable future for the aerospace industry.
The 2022 Members' Conference took place in Dublin, Ireland, from Monday 30 May to Wednesday 1 June. With 183 Attendees, including Delegates, Guest Speakers and Business Partners, it was great to be meetin face-to-face, with a full technical programme and opportunities to network during the lunch breaks, coffee breaks and the two evening social events.

Planning for the 2023 Event is already underway, with the Conference taking place from 22 to 24 May 2023. (see side bar for further details).

The Union has an Executive Committee that oversees activities, and six Study Groups that look after specific areas of Technical Activity.

Following the succes of our 2022 Members' Conference in Dublin, we are already planning for our 2023 Event. Scheduled for 22 to 24 May 2023, we are hoping to go to Krakow, Poland. Final confirmation of the venue will be announced over the next few months.
On 12 May the Union hosted a virtual “Round Table” Discussion between representatives from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and from the insurance/reinsurance sector (both underwriting and broking)
The Discussion looked at how the airline sector is responding to the particular challenges of COVID vaccine distribution and examined the main areas of concern that required clarification to allow insurance carriers to support the airlines in meeting these challenges.
