The COVID Pandemic had a fundamental and far-reaching impact on Union Members, and their clients across all lines of aerospace business. The Union is committed to supporting its Membership, and industry stakeholders, as the sector rebuilds. This includes a particular focus on both a safe return to flight activity and the longer term ESG implications of a sustainable future for the aerospace industry.
Following the postponement of the Dublin AGM in both 2020 and 2021, the Union looks forward to hosting its first ever "Members' Conference in the City from Monday 30 May to Wednesday 1 June 2022.
The Event is open to Employees of Union Member Companies, Union Business Partners and Sponsors and Invited Representatives.

On 12 May the Union hosted a virtual “Round Table” Discussion between representatives from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and from the insurance/reinsurance sector (both underwriting and broking) The Discussion looked at how the airline sector is responding to the particular challenges of COVID vaccine distribution and examined the main areas of concern that required clarification to allow insurance carriers to support the airlines in meeting these challenges.
